The First Step: Creating the Idea.
Before any of the technical processes can take place there needs to be an idea. You can either brainstorm with one of our Sales Reps or tell them straight out exactly what vision you have. You can also provide examples in the forms of pictures and font styles for the artwork. Here you can discuss the colors of inks, the colors of shirts, the location placement, the medium type, and more in this session. You can either place your order at this time or wait until after you see the artwork.
Next comes the Beginning.
After all the rough details are ironed out the graphic designers are given your ideas and/or examples, and they start working them into an art proof. This art proof has a picture of what the art would look like on the particular garment you expressed interest in and a bigger picture of just the art itself on the color that represents the color of the garment you expressed interest in. The turn around for the art proof is about 48 hours.
Approving the Artwork.
It’s the most common to send these art proofs by means of email. However, if you feel more comfortable coming in and looking at it rather than give it out then that’s completely fine as well. The bottom line is we NEED an approval before we can print anything. Whether it be through email or signing of a color copy you looked at in store. Nothing will be printed until we have some record of this approval.
On to the presses.
When the approval has been given, the graphic designers then print out screens for the silkscreen department or send the art file off to the press on or embroidery department to get digitized (depending on what means of medium you chosen). From the day we get approval we guarantee the process will be finished in one or two weeks. It does have the tendency to be done sooner considering what other orders are in their queue, and what medium you chose for your items. You can pay a rush order to get it out quicker if you need it.
Done!
Once your order is complete, it gets packed into a bag or box and placed in the pickup room. We WILL contact you when your order is finished, most of the time it’s by phone.
